Background |

In order to prevent the spread of
pests associated with wood packing material,
International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC)
of United Nations adopted ISPM No.15
(International) Counteries have agreed to
implement ISPM No.15 in a harmonized manner
as of September 16, 2005 All wood packing
materials used for imports to the United
States,Canada. |

Heat Treatment (HT) to a minimum
wood core temperature of 56 for a minimum
of 30 minutes |

Exceptions |
|
|
For United States and
Canada, manufactured wood material and wood
pieces less than 6mm in any dimension are
exempted from the treatment and marking
requirements. The requirements.

U.S.moving to Canada or wood packing
material originating from Canada moving to
the United States. |
